"The gun that won the west"  This is your chance to own a piece of American History.  This rifle has a round 24' barrel.  It is in good functional order.  This rifle was made in 1881 and is now 147 years old.  The bore is clean and the rifle shows its age and use.  The patina is very nice looking.  I have not fired it, but have no doubt it will function as designed.  The early 1873 rifles have no indication of the caliber because they only made one caliber, 44-40 and this is one of the early ones.  Why am I selling?  Because I have three of them and have to thin the herd.
