1972 All Original , other than grips, Colt Python Matching Frame and Crane SN E36902 Electroplated Polished Hard Chrome aka Industrial Chrome Six rounds 4 Inch Barrel .357 Magnum / .38 Special I have a pair of factory Colt grips ( not shown ) to include. I just like the Pachmeyers she is wearing now, they fit my big hands slightly better.
Please research Industrial Chrome. ELECTROPLATED HARD CHROME is NOT the dipped decorative chrome used on your Dads bumper or ornate art and jewelry. Electroplated Hard Chroming is a laborious time consuming expensive process to get proper results, and this one is proper. Polishing is performed before electroplating. Surfaces will never Flake, Peel off like Nickle. No Pitting No Rust or Wear. You could drop this Colt in a puddle of salt water, rinse it off with purified water, blow it off dry with compressed air, clean and oil it with CLP and you are GTG with no harm to the finish. Perfect finish for our wet salty humid Florida weather.
This Colt is Solid Reliable and the most accurate revolver I ever shot. She beats out my Pre-Lock S&W 686. Research the process how Colt finish sizes the bore so it has a slight taper, that is what makes them so accurate. When you pull that smooth trigger the mechanics lock, everything is concentric. The firing pin, cylinder and barrell line up perfectly. Wherever your POA is thats where the round will hit. This BS old wives tale about Pyhtons being fragile, they wear out and explode in your hand is some serious load of BS. This weapon has been in service for 54 years and capable for at least another 54. I might have some " sellers remorse " over this one, but need to fund other projects.
