RFI Ishapore India Model 2A1 7.62mm bolt-action rifle. Serial number C6199.

This rifle has been sporterized and modified into a “Jungle Carbine” configuration. Markings indicate a Gibbs Rifle Company Jungle Carbine conversion. The front barrel and nose cap assembly have been shortened. The rear sight slider arm bears a different serial number, which may be associated with refurbishment. Brass pins (cross bolts) are present behind the receiver ring.
