6" bbl., ramrod style triangular bayonet attached, bayonet is approx. 22" when extended, wood is good w/ large sling ring on the lower tang, gun has a good bore for age, the nipple has some damage, overall a nice example of a rare US Carbine. This one is dated 1839 w/ approx. 6,100 manufactured, this is the earliest perc. weapon adopted by the US military.
