Our August Firepower Auction brings together a broad and unusually interesting selection of collectible, historic, sporting, and modern firearms, accompanied by ammunition and accessories. The catalog spans more than a century of firearms history, from late-19th-century military arms and early American sporting rifles to highly decorated commemoratives, modern defensive handguns, hunting rifles, shotguns, rimfires, and contemporary sporting rifles.
Leading the sale is an impressive collection of limited-edition and presentation firearms, many of which retain fitted cases, accessories, plaques, and other original collector materials. Highlights include a World War II Victory Commemorative Springfield M1903, No. 034 of 500, built around an original circa-1918 Springfield Armory receiver and fitted with a January 1944 R.F. Sedgley U.S.M.C.-contract barrel.
The opening section continues with several elaborate American Historical Foundation collector pieces, including a Samuel Colt Golden Tribute Model 1847 Walker, No. 145 of 950; an “A Golden Tribute to Samuel Colt” Buntline-style .45 Colt, No. 24 of 950; and a particularly scarce Colt-manufactured North and South “Blue Dragoon” Deluxe Edition Third Model Dragoon, one of only 50 produced, featuring extensive hand engraving, gold inlay, and gold-plated accents.
Additional presentation firearms include “The Old West Gambler” Uberti single-action revolver, No. 27 of 750, complete with its themed presentation case and accessories; a Texas Paterson Commemorative, No. 143 of 950, with fitted case, spare cylinder, powder charger, capper, and tools; and a General Dwight D. Eisenhower 5-Star Commemorative Auto-Ordnance .45 ACP General Officers pistol from a documented edition of 500. Together, these pieces form one of the strongest concentrations of cased and limited-production commemorative firearms we have offered in a single Firepower auction.
Military and historical firearms are also well represented, with examples including a Springfield Model 1898 Krag .30-40, French Lebel Mle 1886 M93 R35 carbine, Mosin-Nagant M44 7.62x54R carbine with folding spike bayonet, and a U.S. Springfield Model 1884 .45-70 Government Trapdoor. These sit alongside classic American sporting arms such as a first-year-production 1969 Browning BL-22 Grade I and a circa-1920s Marlin Model 38 .22 rimfire slide-action takedown rifle with octagonal barrel.
The balance of the catalog offers plenty for shooters and hunters as well, with revolvers, 1911-pattern pistols, compact defensive handguns, bolt-action hunting rifles, lever actions, shotguns, rimfires, and modern sporting rifles from manufacturers including Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, Remington, Browning, Beretta, CZ, SIG Sauer, and others. Highlights range from a nickel-finished Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 .357 Magnum and Beretta 92FS to a SIG Sauer P365, Springfield Armory Range Officer Compact, CZ 457 Scout, and Smith & Wesson M&P-15.
A substantial assortment of ammunition rounds out the sale, with popular rifle, pistol, rimfire, and shotgun chamberings represented throughout. Whether you're searching for a centerpiece collector firearm, a historic military arm, a dependable hunting rifle, a modern range or defensive handgun, or simply looking to stock up on ammunition, this catalog offers plenty worth exploring from beginning to end.
As always, every lot opens at just $5 with no reserves. Bid early, bid often, and don't miss your opportunity to add something exceptional to your collection!
