CZ vz.52 – 7.65x25 (Tokarev), Serial #CB02339, Ceska Zbrojovka, Strakonice, 1954.
History:
The vz.52 was produced during 1952-1954 at Strakonice, after vz.50 had been discontinued. Total production was about 200,000 units. The Czechs produced a modified, super hot load Tokarev round for the vz.52 called the M48, with power equivalent to the .357 Magnum. Where the vz.50 had served the police, the vz.52 was primarily a military sidearm. The Soviets curtailed independent weapon design efforts in the Warsaw Pact after the Hungarian Revolution in 1956.
Description:
This vz.52 was from one of the first Century Arms shipments in 2002, in military/unissued condition. It was in vault storage until 2014 when I purchased it. I have preserved it as a collectible in an unfired condition. It retains its original matte parkerized finish in good condition with some wear of the metal high spots – it is not a reblued arsenal refurb. The serial numbers on the barrel and frame are matching, with “r i d” marked on the frame for the CZ military factory, and “circle T” proof test marking on barrel. The frame shows “crossed swords 54”, identifying 1954 production for the military. The import marking is on the slide: “CZ52 7.62TOK CZECH / C.A.I. GEORGIA VT”. 4.5” barrel, weight 34.5 oz., overall length 8.25”, 8-round magazine.
Accessories:
Comes with two original parkerized vz.52 magazines (rare), plus three modern CZ-manufactured magazines. Plus a copy of the “CZ-52 Do Everything Manual” by Michael A. Pugliese (38 pages) and the Radocy “CZ 52 Takedown Guide”. Also includes original Czech military tan leather belt holster (“crossed swords” marked), with cleaning rod and magazine pocket.
Prefer a simple face-to-face cash sale in Aiken, SC, on a standard SC Gun Bill of Sale. Might consider shipment to a FFL01 who will accept USPS Priority Mail shipment from a FFL03 – purchaser to pay actual cost of shipment/insurance. No interest in trades.
