Product Description

1906 Winchester Model 1897 – Scarce Solid Frame 12ga Field Gun (Serial D359845) - SASS Ready! - 30" Full Choke

Premium Shooter Tier Value $900+

Attention SASS and Cowboy Action shooters! Up for sale - Here is an honest, smooth running, mechanically excellent, 12-gauge Winchester Model 1897 pump-action shotgun manufactured in 1906. This is a highly desirable, scarce Solid Frame (fixed barrel) model, not the common takedown version. The Winchester Model 1897 is famous for its slam-fire capability. It is one of the most defining and legendary mechanical features of this specific shotgun.

Features a 30-inch barrel cleanly stamped "FULL" choke with a mirror-bright bore. The receiver features the correct "D" series design upgrade prefix. Action is smooth, tight, and locks up perfectly with no headspace play. All original wood and metal finishes, an honest gray patina, no rust or pitting. A beautiful, unmolested piece of turn-of-the-century American firearms history. This preferred Solid Frame model, provides maximum rigidity and zero barrel-to-receiver wobble under heavy use.

Great for collectors, vintage hunters, or SASS shooters.

Because this firearm was made in 1906, it qualifies as a Curio & Relic (C&R), meaning it can be shipped directly to C&R license holders in states where local laws allow it.
