Condition

This revolver shows honest but light use. The metal surfaces retain a clean satin finish with no major dings, rust, or heavy wear visible. The black rubber Crimson Trace grips have normal handling marks and texture wear consistent with a carried gun, but remain solid and functional. The cylinder locks up tightly, the action feels smooth, and the overall package presents well. This is not a safe-queen; it’s a practical carry piece that has been maintained.

Why This Setup Stands Out

The 642 Airweight has earned its reputation as one of the most popular lightweight J-frame revolvers for concealed carry. The aluminum frame keeps the weight down while the stainless cylinder and barrel provide durability. The internal-hammer DAO design eliminates the external hammer spur that can snag on clothing, making it an excellent pocket, ankle, or IWB option.

The addition of Crimson Trace laser grips takes it a step further. The laser activates naturally when you take a normal firing grip, giving you a fast, intuitive aiming point—especially useful in low light or under stress. You get the simplicity and reliability of a classic S&W J-frame plus a modern aiming aid without adding bulk or complexity.
