I have a Colt Army Special 38 revolver that according to the Colt website, dates to 1919 per serial number. I have never shot it, but the timing and action seem solid as a rock. Although it has patina, the frame, cylinder and barrel are solid. The action feels good, firing pin feels good on the hammer and the lock up is tight. It just says 38. From the research ive done, pre 1900 38 was 38 long colt, post was 38 special. My knowledge is limited on these. From what I see them going on gunbroker, its a wide spread from 500-700. Its been in my safe for several years, but im a shooter not a collector. Text REDACTED/p>
