This is a Chinese military production SKS type 56 that likely had the PU style scope mount added to the receiver around the time of import. It probably came with a hunting style scope on it but that was missing so I replaced it with a reproduction PU Upper mount and scope. The scope base on the receiver is chinese. The scope and mount combos cost $600 on by themselves on accumount.com.
