Springfield trapdoor forage rifle. 45-70 converted to 28 ga. shotgun, these have quite a history if read up on them.  Barrel measures 26 inches. Has a barrel band, but a lot of them didn't, also bead front sight and rear sight removed. Firing pin is stuck. Made to hunt small game to feed the soldiers when out on patrol.
