I have a Savage Model 12 Ruger 204 rifle.  The gun has green camo paint on it and has done well (I didn't do it; it was on the gun when I got it).  Has a Tasco scope and had 200 rounds of Accutip V Boat Tail Remington rounds and 20 rounds of Hornady Superformance Varmint rounds.  This gun shoots far and flat.  Look up YouTube videos if you have never heard of a Ruger 204.  Fun gun to shoot long distances for all types of varmints.
