Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless semi-automatic pistol chambered in .32 ACP, finished in nickel with factory wood grips. Manufactured in an interesting year that predates the start of the nationwide Prohibition era and its complete ban on alcohol, the Model 1903 was highly regarded by military officers, law enforcement personnel, and private citizens for its reliability, manageable recoil, and compact design. These pistols were even issued to U.S. generals during World War II. This example features a factory-style nickel finish, though it was likely not originally finished at the factory, either way the finish looks to be many decades old. Confirmation would require a Colt research letter, which has not been obtained. The nickel finish does gives the pistol an elegant appearance typical of higher-grade or special-order Colts of the era. Overall condition is good, showing normal signs of use such as scratches, marks, dents, finish loss, nickel flaking, and light corrosion. The rear sight is missing; however, a magazine is included.
