The Colt IAR (Infantry Assault Rifle) was designed and submitted to the US Marine Corps for evaluation for replacing the M249 SAW, now known as MK27. Although the US Marines choose to go with HK, Colt did still introduce this design in a 11 inch model for the FBI. Also, like this 16 inch model Colt sold units to the Mexican Military around 2010 and likely more over the years. These uppers are a conversion to use a M4 and convert it to IAR. This upper is complete plug and play, includes M16 full auto bolt and charging handle. Since it is the upper receiver, it is not considered a firearm and can be sent to your door in most states. Might be just what your looking for if you already have a force rest trigger or super saftey.
