Manufactured in 1975, the Colt Python is a .357 Magnum double-action revolver built on Colt’s large steel frame and finished in blued steel with a six-inch barrel. It features a six-round cylinder along with the signature ventilated rib and full underlug barrel design associated with the Python line. The revolver is equipped with walnut grips in a natural finish and represents the standard factory configuration of the period, placing it within Curio and Relic eligibility due to its age.


This used example reflects the mid-1970s Python design, incorporating Colt’s double-action/single-action trigger system and solid top strap frame. It retains characteristic features such as recessed cylinder flutes, a checkered hammer spur, and an adjustable rear sight paired with a ramped front sight.
