Nice very hard to find Bernardelli, 74 year old Italian import, no import marks. Come with a leather wallet size leather holster, works great, easy to carry. We believe the finish is nickel, which is in good condition. The finish has discolored on the top of the slide to some degree to more of a matte color, likely from be carried so long in the holster. Like any used firearm expect normal wear, scratches, nicks, finish loss, signs of use. These pistols have been out of production for years, here your chance to own a classic in the rather rare nickel finish.

The V. Bernardelli Model 68 VP “Baby” is a compact semi-automatic pistol chambered in 6.35mm (.25 ACP). Manufactured in Italy in 1952, this small-frame firearm features a 2-inch barrel and a nickel finish. The design follows Bernardelli’s tradition of finely machined steel components and efficient internal layout, comparable in overall size to other vest-pocket pistols like the FN baby or Colt 1908 pocket of the postwar era. Markings on the slide identify the maker as Bernardelli-Gardone VT, Italy, consistent with the company’s mid-century production.

The Model 68 “Baby” operates on a blowback action and uses a single-stack removable magazine with a five-round capacity. Grip panels are checkered composite, providing a secure hold while maintaining the pistol’s minimal profile. This pistol is used and shows characteristics consistent with age and prior handling. Its mechanical layout is similar to other European pocket pistols of the period, with a takedown system reminiscent of the Walther Model 9. The nickel finish distinguishes it from more common blued versions produced during the same timeframe.

Included with the pistol is a fitted holster appropriate to its compact dimensions. The combination of the 1952 production date, nickel finish, and accompanying holster identifies this as a representative example of Bernardelli’s small-caliber postwar output. The pistol’s size and markings place it among the smallest semi-automatic handguns produced in Italy during the mid-twentieth century.
