The Winchester Model 37A is a single-shot, break-action shotgun chambered in 16 gauge. It features a 30-inch barrel with a fixed full choke. This configuration was produced at the Winchester-owned Cooey factory in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada, during the period when Winchester controlled production. The shotgun uses a single-shot design with a standard capacity of one round and is fitted with a wood stock typical of the Model 37A series.

This Model 37A is used. The firearm dry fires, indicating mechanical response from the firing mechanism. The forend is missing, and the wood stock shows wear consistent with age and use, including a finish that would benefit from refinishing. Metal surfaces show typical handling wear for a firearm of its production era. The overall appearance reflects a well-used shotgun that retains its core mechanical components but requires attention to restore its original aesthetic and completeness.

No accessories or additional components are included beyond the shotgun itself. The firearm retains its original 30-inch barrel and full choke configuration as manufactured in Canada. The piece represents one of the Winchester-Cooey collaborative products from the Cobourg factory period, identifiable by its Canadian origin markings and characteristic single-shot design. All major components—receiver, barrel, and stock—are present except for the missing forend noted above.
