Offered here is a very respectable early Winchester Model 1904 bolt-action single-shot rimfire rifle chambered in the desirable and harder-to-find .22 Short, Long & Extra Long configuration — not the later common .22 LR variant.
This rifle retains an attractive honest original appearance with sharp barrel markings, solid original wood, and a very pleasing aged blue/brown finish throughout. The bore is very good with strong rifling, making this rifle far more than just a wall hanger. Mechanics function properly and the rifle presents exactly as a well-cared-for early Winchester should.
The barrel legend remains crisp and fully legible.
Original sights remain in place and the rifle does not appear to have been altered, refinished, drilled, or otherwise heavily modified over its lifetime. These early Winchester youth rifles were commonly used hard, making honest surviving examples increasingly difficult to locate.
