Remington Model 6 "Boys Rifle" rolling block single shot target rifle chambered in .22 short, long, and long rifle.
Condition is good with a shiny bore. Beautiful Walnut stock and fore arm. The barrel is lightly pitted and devoid of bluing.
With the rifle is an antique heavy steel spring-loaded target. When the bullseye is hit a bell rings and a duck pops up. :)
Remington's Model 6 was a modified and scaled down version of the famed rolling block action rifles. With its lightweight 20" round barrel and takedown configuration, it was intended for and marketed to the youth of the day. By simply turning the screw ahead of the bottom of the receiver, the rifle would easily be taken down for carry in a pack, canoe or on a bicycle. Manufactured from 1902-1933, the Model 6 was the dream of many a young boy! Unlike most of the cheaper, imported rifles, the Remington was of very high quality and deserving of the famed Remington.
