This is a minty and unfired, new-in-the-box Uzi Eagle Compact pistol in .40 S&W caliber . Manufactured by IMI and imported by Uzi for only two years in 1997 and 1998, these Uzi marked Eagle pistols are quite scarce. Based off of the CZ75 design, the semi-automatic Eagle Compact pistol was offered in 9mm or .40 S&W and featured a matte black finish, a 3.5" inch barrel, black textured synthetic grips, a large white "Uzi Eagle" printed on the left side of the slide along with the Uzi eagle head logo, and a 10-shot magazine. The Eagle Compact was offered in a double action design with an ambidextrous de-cocking lever/safety or DAO (double action only). The Eagle series of pistols proved to be a very good design that was reliable, accurate, and very well-made. It went on to be imported in later years under the Jericho 941 name by K.B.I. and then as the "Baby Eagle" by IMI. This particular example is chambered in .40 S&W and is a double action / single action automatic model with the slide-mounted ambidextrous decocker/safety. As mentioned before, it is in like-new, mint condition. Bought by the original owner and put into storage until now, it could pass for having left the factory last week rather than 23 years ago. The factory matte black finish rates 99% plus with no wear or handling marks. The stainless barrel is pristine with a perfect, mirror-bright bore and no wear or staining on the exterior. The rifling is sharp and like-new, and there are no visible imperfections of any kind. This particular pistol came with factory Tru Dot night sights which are still in place but due to age are very dim. The factory grips are just like the rest of the gun, in like-new shape with no wear or damage. The slide to frame fitment is superb, and the action is slick and precise. The barrel lock-up is perfect, and all of the controls are in 100% perfect working order. This Eagle Compact will function just as it did when it left the factory in 1997 or 1998. It comes complete with everything it shipped from the factory with in excellent condition, the factory trigger lock, and both a wire and nylon bore brush. The original box still has the factory end-label intact which is serial-numbered to the gun. If you have been looking for one of these scarce "Uzi" marked Eagle Compact pistols here is your chance to get what has to be one of the cleanest and all-original examples in existence. You could not upgrade from this pistol in any way.
