This Custom 54 caliber percussion Plains style rifle has a browned straight octagon 28”x 1” barrel with 1:66 twist and fitted with a Lyman adjustable rear sight and German Silver blade front sight. The bore is very good – bright and shiny with good lands and groves. The P grade Walnut stock is mounted with German Silver furniture. Stamped on the inside of the Griffith percussion Hawken lock is GTC – for Griffith Tool Company. It is activated by Hawken style long bar double set triggers. Please Note: There are scattered pits in the barrel’s outside metal finish and on the lock plate. The custom rear sling swivel stud is missing. The stock was broken and repaired: behind the lock, around the tang, traveling to the left side of the triggers. The repair is stable, rendering the rifle very safe to shoot. Length of pull is 14”, Weight is 8.6lbs and Overall Length is 44-1/2”. Factory wood to metal fit. Maker Unknown. Condition: Fair to Good.
