For sale is a Pre-Ban Federal Ordnance, Inc. (FED. ORD. INC.) Model M14SA rifle in caliber 7.62x51mm/.308 Winchester. It was manufactured around 1990. The company only built rifles until 1992. The rifle functions as it should. I personally shot this rifle in the past, and it functioned fine and was quite accurate. The assembly numbers on the stock, trigger group, bolt, and I believe on the op rod, all match. They used assembly numbers on these parts, as they were Chinese made parts. The bore and rifling are excellent and shiny. There is a tiny chip missing on the left side of the bolt hold open. It is not anything that interferes with strength, or function, whatsoever. Purely cosmetic. It happened when replacing the pin for the hold open. The previous owner had shellacked the heck out of the stock, and I removed that from the inside areas for function purposes. The stock is very shiny but could be dulled down easily with a cloth and rubbing alcohol. It reminds me of one of the ceremonial rifles used at The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier. The rifle comes with either the 20-round magazine shown, or a 5-round, if you cannot own the 20-round mag. I can also remove the bayonet-lugged flash suppressor if you can't own that. I also have a fixed magazine kit that I can include if you need that in your area. The sling that is shown is included.
