Retro Colt 1911 Pre War Mexican Federal Police.

Description: 

The Colt 1911 Classic SS is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP and built on a full-size stainless steel frame. It follows the Government Model pattern with single-action operation and fixed sights. Both the slide and frame have a stainless finish, complemented by rosewood grip panels with a brown tone. The configuration reflects Colt’s Classic Series design, incorporating the traditional 1911 control layout with thumb and grip safeties, a spur hammer, and a solid trigger.

 

Distinctive pre-war style roll marks are engraved on the slide, replicating markings found on early Colt production pistols. The engraving includes the Mexican seal and “Policia Federal” text, referencing historical contracts from the early 20th century. The stainless steel construction maintains consistent coloration across major components, while the rosewood grips provide visual contrast to the polished metal. This pistol is in new condition, showing no indications of prior use or handling wear.

 

Included with the pistol are the Colt factory box and original paperwork. The model designation identifies it within the Classic line, configured for the .45 ACP cartridge and featuring vintage-inspired markings. Frame and slide are both stainless steel, with rosewood grips completing the full-size Government profile. No additional accessories or modifications are specified beyond the factory configuration..
