Beretta New Puma model 70-1 .32 acp semi auto pistol. These pistols had to be converted with barrel extensions ( now removed ) and models numbers are now technically 70-1 , so they could meet US import laws and be imported. Since that change took place to get them in the country, they are no longer considered a Curio and Relic. No C&R licenses for this one, normal business FFL transfer.

The Beretta Model 70 is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .32 ACP (7.65 Browning). It features a black aluminum frame with matching black plastic grips and operates on a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) trigger system. The pistol has a standard capacity of 8+1 rounds and is equipped with a threaded barrel. The sights are fixed rather than adjustable. This Model 70 variant was produced in Italy and imported under the revised designation Model 70-1 after barrel extensions were added to comply with U.S. import requirements.

This pistol is used and shows finish wear, surface marks, and minor corrosion consistent with prior handling and age. The barrel threads are cut for a 1/2x20 pitch; however, the threads display damage near the area where a set screw was previously installed, and may require cleaning or repair for use. The bore remains serviceable. The Model 70 series was introduced in 1958 as the successor to earlier Beretta medium-frame pistols, incorporating a redesigned frame contour and simplified takedown system. Production continued through the late 1980s, with examples such as this one imported before the end of the series.
