Your chance to hold in your hands a piece for history from 108 years ago, that is still here today. The Meriden World Challenge Ejector is a 12-gauge single-shot shotgun built on a break-action design. The Meriden Firearms Company was open only from 1905 to 1918, in Meridan, Connecticut. It features a 30-inch barrel that has some pits and a one-round capacity. The receiver is constructed from steel, paired with a wood stock that provides a traditional layout typical of early 20th-century sporting shotguns. This configuration reflects the straightforward mechanics of a single-shot field gun, with external operation and an ejector system for spent shell removal. Normal signs of wear and tear, dings, dents, finish loss, surface rust marks, but still here over a Century of time.

This shotgun is used. The long barrel length and break-action format suggest it was intended for standard 12-gauge loads, offering a conventional handling profile for its type. The steel receiver and wooden furniture show the characteristic materials of its period, with the ejector mechanism integrated into the action. The firearm’s overall design follows Meriden’s established approach to simplicity and durability in single-barrel shotguns.
