Here we have a Hi-Standard Model "B" .22lr.  The Hi-Standard Model B .22LR "Property of U.S." is a WWII-era, hammerless, single-action semi-automatic pistol, featuring a 4.5-inch barrel. Approximately 14,000 were procured in 1942-1943 for military training, marked with "PROPERTY OF U.S." on the frame, often featuring a cross-cannon stamp. This pisto; was manufactured in 1943 and has a clean shiny bore and good rifling.
