The Mossberg MVP Scout is a compact, bolt-action .308 Win rifle designed around Colonel Jeff Cooper's scout concept, featuring a 16.25-inch threaded medium bull barrel with an A2 flash suppressor. It is unique for its compatibility with both AR-10 (LR308/SR25) and M1A/M14 magazines.
 
  • Action: Bolt-action with an oversized handle, featuring the patented Lightning Bolt Action (LBA) trigger adjustable from 3 to 7 lbs.
  • Barrel & Sights: 16.25-inch medium bull barrel, matte blued finish, with a fiber optic front sight and rail-mounted rear ghost ring.
  • Stock & Weight: Black synthetic stock with a 37.5-inch overall length and a weight of approximately 6.75 to 8.25 lbs.
  • Optics Rail: Extended 11-inch top Picatinny rail for forward-mounted optics, plus two side-mounted accessory rails.
  • Magazine: Typically ships with a 10-round Magpul PMAG.
     
The rifle is designed for quick handling and versatility, suitable for hunting or personal defense, with some models offered as a combo with a Vortex 2-7x32mm scout scope.
Compact and durable, the Vudu® 3-9x32 features aircraft-grade aluminum construction, ¼ MOA capped turrets, and a rotary-illuminated reticle with 10 brightness settings. Fog, water, and shock resistant, it includes an integrated base compatible with mini-ACOG mounts and the option to add a 1x solution with an EFLX™ package.
