I am offering for sale a rare 30 Express Remington built by the renowned Boise Idaho gunsmith WF Vickery. Author of Advanced Gunsmithing first published in 1940. The barrel is stamped by WF Vickery,Boise, Idaho to atest that it is his work.

The 30 Express was manufactured from 1926 to 1940 and was an improved version of the m1917 Enfield specifically for the American sport hunting market. As there were only about 22,800 of these rifles manufactured a serial number of 9941 makes this a very early rifle.

Mr Vickery chambered it in Savage 250-3000, the revolutionary cartridge developed by Charles Newton for the Savage Arms Company in 1915. The first cartridge to break the 3,000 ft per second muzzle velocity barrier.

As this is a custom barrel there is no Remington barrel code to pinpoint the build date.

The rifle has a very clear Weaver KB3/60-B scope using a Boise Idaho built Echo offset mount.

As far as I have been able to find this is truly a one of a kind rifle by a Master gunsmith.

No trades. I will consider reasonable offers.
