Standard configuration. This rifle was manufactured during in what is known as the Pre-Custard period. Springfield research shows ser #24360 is 95 numbers away from a carbine turned in my Crow Indian, Iron dog 1881, and 479 numbers away from Carbine number 23786 turned in on 4/2/1877 by Two Moons Cheyenne Indian at his surrender.

This carbine features a nice blue spotted patina and a good bore. Mechanically good, with visible cartouche rear of saddle ring. Has the correct unaltered thin wrist stock and solid butt plate. A fine example of an original 1873 Trapdoor carbine produced prior to one of the most historically significant events in western history.
