The Springfield XD is a full-size semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger. It features a 4-inch barrel and a striker-fired trigger system. The frame and grip are constructed from black polymer, providing a consistent finish throughout. The pistol has a standard magazine capacity of 16 rounds plus one in the chamber. The barrel is not threaded, and the sights are fixed rather than adjustable.


The XD design incorporates a polymer frame with integrated safety features typical of the model line. It uses a striker-fired action for consistent trigger operation and includes a full-size grip for enhanced control. The black finish on both frame and grip matches the overall uniform appearance of the pistol. No adjustable sight components or threaded muzzle are present, keeping the configuration straightforward and factory-standard.
