Famous 9 shot cylinder (42 cal) over a smooth bore 20ga. bbl. This gun is a rare transitional model which was produced in the 2nd run of 500 revolvers for the Confederate states.  Approx. 6 3/4" oct. bbl., which is marked "COL. LeMAT Bte s.g.d.g PARIS" , right side of bbl is stamped w/ serial number 793 w/ a star over LM, this is a marking included on all Paris LeMAT revolvers, serial # also present on bottom of frame and cylinder. Gun has even spotted gray to brown patina, finely checkered walnut grips w/ metal grip cap w/ knob for lanyard loop. This transitional model also features a spur on trigger guard, the loading lever, which is absent was mounted on the left side.  Gun retains good bore w/ visible rifling and mechanically functions well, nipples on cylinders all appear the same and in good overall condition.  This 2nd delivery of LeMAT revolvers to the confederate states was completed by July 1863 on various blockade running ships, overall, this is a fine example of one of the most iconic and scarce Civil War weapons of the confederacy.
