The San Tan Tactical Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group was designed for shooters who demand superior performance from their firearm. The STT Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group has fewer points of contact, resulting in less friction area. The increased full auto style carrier mass ensures proper gas pressure and increases dwell time to help improve extraction while shooting suppressed or while shooting short-barreled rifles (SBRs). The rear of the enhanced bolt carrier is flared to reduce carrier tilt/cant during recoil and increase reliability by strategically relocating key bearing surfaces. The carrier is machined from case-hardened 8620 steel and Black Nitride coated.

The bolt is a "true" Mil-spec dimension bolt machined from 9310 case hardened steel. The external surfaces are CNC ground after heat treatment for a precision fit and held to the highest possible tolerances. The "trumpet" area behind the gas rings, where carbon collects, is precision CNC Ground after heat treatment, to ensure as smooth of an area as possible, easing clean up and longevity. The bolt has a Mil-Spec Extractor Spring & O-Ring, hardened 4340 cam pin and the bolt is Black Nitride coated. Includes a Mil-Spec 8740 steel firing pin
