This is a Brazilian VZ 24 JC C&R rifle made under contract by the arsenal at Brno (ZB) in Czechoslovakia. Caliber is 7mm, like other Brazilian mausers of the era.

Unlike standard VZ-24 models that typically have straight bolt handles and fire 8mm Mauser, the Brazilian JC contract features a distinct bent/turned-down bolt handle with a flattened, knurled knob and a specialized notch cut into the wooden stock for finger clearance. They also typically lack standard Brazilian national crest stampings on the receiver.
