The Ceská zbrojovka Model 82 is a compact, semi-automatic pistol chambered for the 9×18mm Makarov cartridge. Designed and produced in Czechoslovakia, it entered military service around 1983 as the successor to the vz. 52 pistol, which was chambered for the 7.62×25mm Tokarev round. The CZ 82 utilizes a conventional blowback operating system with a fixed barrel mounted to the frame, a design that promotes consistent alignment between the barrel and the sights for improved accuracy. It features a double-action/single-action trigger mechanism and is constructed with a steel frame and slide, characteristic of service sidearms from its period.

Key design elements include ambidextrous controls, with both the frame-mounted thumb safety and magazine release accessible from either side. The bore is chrome-plated for corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning, and the barrel utilizes polygonal rifling rather than traditional lands and grooves. The CZ 82 was also among the first service pistols to combine these features in one platform. Standard magazine capacity is twelve rounds of 9x18mm ammunition, a notable increase compared to the eight-round capacity of the Soviet Makarov pistol. The pistol’s compact proportions and low bore axis contribute to a balanced profile suitable for military and police applications during its period of use.

This CZ model 82 includes a shoulder holster, these are likely from Europe and run small. No additional accessories or packaging are provided. The pistol qualifies as a Curio & Relic under U.S. classification, reflecting its historical manufacture and service origin in Czechoslovakia. Overall condition of all the pistol in stock are good to very good, the spray on factory finish has large areas of “flaking” loss, which is common on any of these pistol in this condition. For states that have a magazine ban, no magazine will be included, no exception. We do not pin or modify magazines or send them into states that prohibit them to later be pinned or modify.
