Private NC Concealed Carry Course – In-Home + Private Range – Starting at $400

Looking for a more comfortable and focused way to complete your North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun Permit (CCHP) course?

Raleigh Gun Coach offers private group CCHP courses that combine in-home classroom instruction with live-fire qualification at a private outdoor range just north of Wake Forest. This format allows for better conversation, less pressure, and a more personalized learning experience than traditional classroom settings.

What’s Included

The NC CCHP course is an 8-hour requirement and includes:

  • Classroom instruction

  • Written examination

  • Live-fire shooting qualification

The course may be completed in:

  • One 8-hour day, or

  • Two 4-hour sessions across two days

No prior handgun experience is required, and you do not need to own a firearm to take the class. Firearms, ammunition, and safety equipment can be provided if needed.

  • North Carolina handgun laws (common & statutory)

  • Handgun safety and safe handling

  • Ammunition basics

  • Revolvers and semi-automatic pistols

  • Marksmanship fundamentals

  • Concealed carry fundamentals

  • Basic cleaning & maintenance

  • Safe handgun storage

  • Responsible ownership and carry considerations

Many students take this course simply for the knowledge, even if they decide not to apply for the permit afterward.

Private group courses start at $400, which includes up to four participants.
Additional participants are $50 per person.
