This posting is for a used, not abused Mossberg 500 AR 12 gauge pump action shotgun that handles 2 3/4" and 3" shells.


It does not have a serial number so it appears to have been manufactured prior to 1968.


This gun has one action bar, not 2, like the current models.


This gun spent much of its life leaning in the corner of the barn, ready to address any critters that needed dealing with.


The receiver is in very good to excellent condition.


The 28" barrel accepts choke tubes so it is not the barrel this gun left the factory with.


The 28" barrel has quite a bit of pitting on the exterior.  The bore is bright and shiny. It accepts Accu-choke tubes.  The tube that is in it measures .715. Based on my on-line findings, I believe that is a modified choke.  I removed and reinstalled the choke tube to be sure it was not seized.


This gun has black synthetic forend and stock.  The stock has the newer style, softer recoil pad.


All of the aftermarket goodies will fit this receiver, as they do a new model.


This is my only Mossberg with an assortment of 870's.


I haven't shot it in years so it is for sale.
