This rifle was purchased March 2008 as a gas impingement AR15.  It was upgrade in performance by Blackrifle Arms in April 2013.  It has been fired infrequently every couple of years.  The last range outing was May 2023.   It was schedule to accompany me to West Texas this year for a Wild Big Hunt.  My participation in the planned hunt has been scuttled due to mobility issues. 

Although I had no trouble qualifying with the M1 and M14, I bolo-ed twice with my GI issued M16 before I finally qualified.  With the Trijicon sights and the folding iron sights I have not experienced the bolo issues of my youth.  Although I wear glasses for astigmatism the Trijicon sights overcome my old-eyes issues. 

Points of Interest:

1. Seller wanted the rugged, reliable advantage of the HK416 without the cost.    The gas piston keeps the fouling gas away from the bolt and chamber.  But Mr. McNamara had to save a few dollars with Eugene  Stoner's design.  The collapsible stock would have been perfect for jumping Hollywood style from C-119/C-130/C-141 or riding skids of slicks.
2. But the Seller must downsize now.  So it is either a find a better divorce lawyer or sell-off some of the herd.
3. Will ship at buyer's expense.
4. Seller will pay the FFL transaction report fee.
