The 1911 Emissary bridges defensive and custom pistols delivering a bold and capable addition to the Springfield Armory family of 1911's. Built on a durable foundation of forged steel in its barrel, slide and frame, the Emissary offers a pistol with an air of custom refinement. The pistol has a beautiful two-tone finish, with a blued carbon steel slide and a stainless-steel frame with squared trigger guard. A "Tri-Top" cut to the slide gives the pistol custom-grade styling, while a heavy-profile bull barrel delivers maximum accuracy and reduces felt recoil. Springfield Armorys U-Dot sights are ideal for defensive situations offering fast and intuitive acquisition while providing a tritium/luminescent front sight for low light conditions. Delivering ultra-fast lock times, the Emissary's skeletonized hammer combines excellent style with exceptional performance. Integrated into the forged steel frame is a strip of Picatinny accessory rail, ready to accept the light, laser or combo unit of your choice. It is fully wrapped in a grenade pattern texture for firm engagement in adverse conditions. The slim line VZ Grips are machined from G10 while the mainspring housing and front strap are machined to match.
