Ruger Security Six pristine condition, upgraded target grips, 1973 manufacture.

This particular sample looked like it had never been fired when I bought it. I put roughly 100 of my light-ish .38 handloads through it, and about half a box of New Republic target (i.e. weak) .357 Mags. Now you can tell it has been fired, but only if you look at the area around the firing pin where the cartridge back hits the frame. Bluing is still perfect. Not a scratch or hint of holster wear anywhere on this firearm. I added a bit of gold paint on the front sight to make it easier to pick up, but a q-tip of denatured alcohol with remove it easily. Rear sights are fully adjustable. This is a VERY accurate gun, with a light, crisp, SA trigger pull - thanks to the lighter-than-factory SP101 Mainspring that I installed. The heavier factory mainspring is also included with this sale.

Comes with the original grips, and a set of NOS target grips from the same vintage as the revolver. The target grips are pictured on the gun currently. These grips are super hard to find, with EBay resellers asking as much as $150 for a set. Because they only made this frame for two years, there are not a lot of grip options out there.
