Colt, 1960s Detective Special, in very good condition. The bluing is really nice in parts with  bright, lustrous finishing, HOWEVER as pictured it does have what looks to be blood etching which removed parts of the finish. Overall it does have some minor scracthes, marks, dings, and the etching, but functions close to new.


 


The Colt Detective Special, serial number 948175 places the manufacture of this pistol somewhere between 1964 to 1967, C&R is accepted. Compact snub nose is chambered in .38 Special and features a 2-inch barrel. First introduced in 1927, the Detective Special quickly earned its reputation as one of the most iconic snub-nose revolvers, favored by plainclothes officers and detectives throughout the 20th century. Distinguished by its six-round cylinder and renowned Colt craftsmanship, it stood apart from other compact revolvers of its time.
