The pistol for sale is a Remington Rand Colt US 1911 A1 Single Action .45ACP.
Serial number dates to 1924 Colt Model 1911 Military Frame.
Remington Rand slide with Blanchard Cut. “P” stamp above rear sight.
Frame is stamped “United States Property.” Serial number is prefixed “No”.
Walter T Gordon “WTG” inspector stamp.
Assembled/Produced in 1942 or ‘43. Considerable wear from use and age.
Guide rod and spring are not original or era specific.
Pearloid Grips are cracked at heel screw.
It is being sold with additional set of wood checkered grips.
