This 8x57 “Commission” Model 1888 bolt action rifle has a 29” tapered round barrel that is enclosed in a metal barrel shroud which is mounted with a blade front sight and a tangent rear sight. The bore is in poor condition being heavily worn with only faint rifling and scattered pitting throughout. The P grade Walnut full stock is intact but has numerous scattered chips, dings and splinters. The bolt action firing mechanism works smoothly and functions as it should. All of the metal parts have lost most of their metal finish. Please Note: The rifle is missing the factory issues cleaning rod and the bayonet lug band screw. Length of pull is 13-1/8“, overall length is 49-1/2” and weight is 7.8lbs. Factory wood to metal fit Arsenal of Manufacture Unknown. Condition: Fair –Sold AS-IS.
