Ithaca M1911A1 US GI serial number matches it to a 1945 war time production. The slide is a Remington Rand, normal that arsenals would mix manufactures. The rest of the parts are mixed from commerical and GI. Plenty of military markings, including US ARMY . Someone had the pistol nickel plated, possible honor guard ?  Overall a very collectable military marked GI pistol, with a very nicely done Nickel plate.
