EOTech holographic sights are designed to be used with both eyes open so you can retain situational awareness and acquire a target faster than other optics which makes them great for hunting, close range competition shooting or combat. The EOTech is easily mounted to a Weaver/Picatinny rail with the included Quick Disconnect Mount.
The 518 has all of the features found in EOTech's EXPS top of the line sight but is powered by two AA batteries so you won't have to worry about finding the less common CR123 batteries. Battery life is excellent with lithium batteries and good with alkaline. Rechargeable batteries work too but need to be replaced much more often depending on the quality of the battery. The brightness control buttons are on the side so you can reduce rail space when partnering the 518 with an EOTech magnifier or backup iron sight.
