The Glock 17 Gen is a semi-automatic pistol designed and manufactured by the Austrian company Glock Ges.m.b.H. Originally introduced in the early 1980s, it quickly became one of the most popular handguns worldwide due to its reliability, simplicity, and lightweight polymer frame.

The Glock 17 is chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum and typically has a 17-round magazine capacity (hence the name). Over its different generations (Gen1 through Gen5), improvements have included better grip texture, interchangeable backstraps, ambidextrous controls, and enhanced internal components. Known for its “Safe Action” trigger system, it provides consistent trigger pull and built-in safety features without an external manual safety.

It is widely used by law enforcement, military, and civilians for self-defense, sport shooting, and duty use, thanks to its durability, ease of maintenance, and dependable performance even in harsh conditions.
