This came into a shop a couple weeks ago. It has a SWP cartise with a year 1881 on it and the receiver is also stamped with a serial number matching that production time. It has the correct ladder rear site doesn't have the updated buffeTon sight. Does have some light pitting in the bore and scratches in the chamber. I test fire to 405 grain cowboy rounds through the weapon with no problems. I believe this to be a correct example but I'm not an expert. The lock works correctly. The firing pin works, but when you remove it, you notice it's in two pieces near the backside, but it doesn't seem to appeared function.
