The Dead Air KeyMo Muzzle Brake in 1/2x28 is a full-size muzzle brake built as the interface for Dead Air's KeyMo mounting system. It combines recoil reduction with a taper-style suppressor mount. The multi-port design helps keep the rifle flat under recoil for faster follow-up shots, and the precision-machined taper is made for consistent lockup and a repeatable return to zero each time you mount your suppressor.
The KeyMo system uses a taper with a mechanical detent, which is designed to resist loosening from heat and vibration. Dead Air says this full-size brake suits higher-pressure calibers and shorter barrels, where recoil impulse and precision matter most, and it's meant for duty rifles, hard-use training guns, and long-range setups. It's machined from 4140 heat-treated alloy steel with a black nitride finish. The overall length is 2.82" and it weighs 4.42oz. A shim kit and instructions for timing the muzzle device come with it.
