This M1 carbine a great condition. Manufactured between October 1043 and May 1944 before D-Day based on the fact it was made by IBM, the serial number of 3,882,xxx and the canvas bag that says M.D. MFG CO 1944. One of just over 346,000 made by IBM. Other numbers/letters on the gun- M WA or M W4 on the magazine release, Inland stamped on the trigger group, I.R. CO 7160060 (International Register Company) stamped on the rear sight and JM (J. Mueller Furnace Company of Wisconsin) stamped on the barrel band. The serial number and manufacturer are stamped under the adjustable rear sight. The gun comes with an extra stock that is also in great condition, the canvas bag and 5 magazines. There are 2 15-round and 3-30-round magazines. One 15-round magazine is stamped SP SG (Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors), One 15-round magazine is stamped KSG (Keller Brass Co) and all of the 30-round magazines are stamped M2 only. The gun appears to be all original military armory parts. The original owner was a World War 2 Veteran and may have brought this gun after his service. This is a consignment sale for an estate.
