Up for sale is an original 1943 Walther P.38 (AC43) 9mm pistol, a true World War II-era German military sidearm. This is a second-variation wartime production from the Carl Walther factory in Zella-Mehlis, marked with the correct "ac 43" code.
This example features all matching serial numbers on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block — increasingly rare among surviving P.38s. Four sharp “eagle/359” Waffenamt inspection stamps and the eagle-over-swastika military acceptance mark confirm Wehrmacht issue.
The pistol retains much of its original salt-blue finish with even handling wear, no abuse or refinishing. The red-mottled Bakelite grips, correct for 1943 production, show no cracks or warpage and retain their deep color and factory texture.
