For sale The Firearm Files is selling a Savage model 99 rifle in .303 Savage. This rifle dates back to the third year production, 1901, by tracing the serial number. Lever internal rotary mag fed rifle, Features, Front white brass blade and rear adjustable buckhorn style sights, Round barrel, Brass cartridge counter on left side of frame, Case colored lever, Plain wooden straight grip stock and forend, Metal crescent butt plate, Barrel length, 26". CONDITION:

Very Good. Great bore and strong action, Rifling is present but shows usual light wear from age and use, Barrel retains 75% original blued finish turned to patina, Receiver shows heavy finish loss mainly in the white from handling, Receiver shows few faint areas of original case colors but mainly in the white, Stock and forend are solid free of cracks and breaks with usual light handling marks from use for age of rifle, Good solid metal crescent butt plate.
